MMXVIII for Fundraising

Well already we seem to be heading towards an exciting year for fundraisers.

First up: Irish Fundraisers Networking events are back.

Don't forget to register for the opening event of the year on 9th Feb. We are hoping to move the events around this year and to change up the time and day of the week so if you would like to host 20-30 of Ireland's' best and nicest fundraisers please give me a call. If you haven't been to any of the networking events and you're not sure if they are for you then all I can say is 'give it a go'. The networking is informal and friendly. We try to have a short (2-3) minute presentation on a relevant topic for fundraisers and then break into groups to discuss anything that attendees would like to bring to the table. We've had discussions around event fundraising, data bases, results sharing, digital, corporate partnerships and more. If fundraising is part of your job then you will definitely find it worthwhile to come along.

You can register for February's event here

Next up: The National Fundraising Awards. Submissions for the brand new awards (coordinated and organised by Nexus Direct) are open but will be closing on 16th January.

This is your chance to nominate your organisation, campaign or event for the most prestigious (only) fundraising awards in Ireland! You can also nominate individual fundraisers who have done and awesome job or made a significant contribution to the sector of the last year. Awards are only as good as the submissions that are received so get filling in the form here

Finally The Ask Direct Summer School is back! - although this year it's at the start of the summer and not the end.

Damien O'Brion announced this week that the most exciting (only) fundraising conference in Ireland will be taking place 12th & 13th July in Trinity College. Tickets aren't on sale yet but keep an eye out on the Irish Fundraisers' Network page for details. Well that's enough for my first day back in the office.

I hope to see you all on the 9th Feb.

 Kevin
